FAQ’s

You'll need to go into the Quick Post Master File from the Main Menu. Choose the latest Quick Post that will be affected by the changes. Then you need to duplicate that record (there's a button on the Navigation Pane) and assign a new effective date of the new legislation or policy. Then you can make any changes to the new Quick Post and they'll be reflected in any cases filed after that effective date.

In order for the IADT system to add the Omnibase fee onto a cause, you have to have your fee codes for Omnibase set up correctly. You can check your OMNI fee from the Code Master File. From the Code Master File, select Court Cost Codes. Search for your OMNI fee code. If you don't have an OMNI fee code set, you'll have to create the code. (MAKE SURE YOU DON'T HAVE THE CODE SET UP ALREADY.) In order for the code to work properly, the abbreviation MUST be "DPSC". For more detailed information on setting up your OMNI fee code correctly, click here.

There are two things you should do to fix this problem.
First, make sure that the document you're trying to print is set up for the kind of case you're printing out. You have to remember that there are different field numbers for Criminal cases, Civil cases, Hot Checks, & Inquests. If you have a document for a civil case using field numbers from a criminal case, you WILL get different results. Once you're sure that your document is being printed from the correct type of cause you can move on to the second step.
The second step is to go to the Data Field List and recheck the field numbers you're using for the document. The easiest way is to go to the cause you're working on and look at the Field List for that cause. That will give you a chance to see the actual data in the record that will be printed. Go here for more information on looking up data fields.

In some installations this is okay. As long as you can get to the Login screen you are fine. If you can't get to the login screen then that is a problem.
There are several possible reasons for this. One of the most common is not logging out of the system correctly. In some cases the easiest option is to use the "Refresh" command. During installation you may have had a "Refresh" icon placed on your desktop. If you open up this icon, the system will close any programs that may still be running and keeping you from logging in. If you're still having problems, please call HCSS Support at 1-800-422-1982.
IMPORTANT:
ALL of the users on the server must be logged out before you run the Refresh command. Any office that shares that server will be immediately kicked out of the system and they may lose any work. Make sure that everyone is logged out of IADT before you run Refresh.

Each installation is set up with different permissions for each user on the system. During your initial installation, users may have had some of their access restricted at the request of the court clerk or judge. If you're not seeing a button or option that you feel you need, someone will need to log in as a Customer Administrator and change the permissions for your account. This can be very tricky to make sure that all the permissions needed will be adjusted so please feel free to call HCSS Support at 1-800-422-1982 for help. Remember too that we will need authorization from the judge or court clerk to increase access to other employees of the court.

From the cause, scroll down in the Application Pane. The fields for alleged speeds and speed limits are near the bottom of the screen in the right hand column.

  • The initial charges haven't been assigned to the cause yet.
In order to accept payments, the charges have to be assigned first. You'll probably see a button in the Navigation Pane that's labelled "Money - Initial Charges." Click this button, then assign the monies owed on the cause. When you look at the cause again you should see the "Money - Accept Payment" button.
  • You may be on the People Record and not the Cause Record.
You can tell if you're on the People Record because that's where you'll see all of the personal information, like addresses, birthdays, etc. If you're on the People Record for the correct defendant, click on "Cause List - All" in the Navigation Pane. This will bring up a listing of all the causes that person has against them. Click on the correct cause and then you can receive money like normal.
